About Matters of the Mind

This Project is a very personal one for me, it came about during a very rough patch with my mental health and I felt I needed a creative output to express how I was feeling at the time. Mental Health is something that is very important to me, something that should be taken a lot more seriously amongst people aged 18-21.

This short film was really a way for me to express and validate my feelings but to also show that there is always someone to help and there is always something you can do to get yourself back on track. All of the cast and crew were very supportive and very determined to tell this story in the right way, to be respectful of the issues presented. We and Joe spent a lot of time discussing how we would show the struggle of the main character and how people would react to the help being offered to him.

I am so proud of what we managed to achieve with this project, it's one that is very near and dear to my heart. My main hope with this short is to show people who watch it that it's okay to feel like this. It's okay to not be okay.

On a Personal Note

This project is something that means a lot to me and I hope that people can find some comfort from the resolution of this piece.

I want to thank the cast and crew of this project for being so professional and helping me bring this to life. They were so fantastic and supportive, I couldn't have asked for a better team to make this with.
